Tal’s Talent

Tal Wilkenfeld’s journey from music student to bass super star was a meteoric shot to the top of the jazz/rock elite. She honed her craft in the jazz clubs of the west village after dropping out of high school in Australia and imigrating to the United States. At the age of 18 she was already turning heads and making a name for herself in the clubs of New York City. She caught the attention of Allman Brother’s members Derek Trucks and Oteil Burbridge who whisked her away to their gig at the Beacon theater one night and just threw her on stage. She has since made regular appearances with the Jeff Beck band and also toured with Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Wayne Krantz, Ryan Adams, and Keith Urban.
